Feasibility report
A typical feasibility report contains the following information:
- Is component "Safety Critical" or have safety implications
- Is component subject to a confidentiality agreement
- Do component volumes fit within the APL volume profile
- Are prototypes required
- Is component cast only
- Is component design feasible for casting
- Is porosity spec feasible
- Is pressure test spec feasible (pre/post machined)
- Are casting tolerances feasible
- Is cast surface feasible (any cosmetic finish requirement)
- Are any mechanical properties required feasible
- Is plant capacity available (cast/machining)
- Is component design feasible for machining
- Are machine tolerances feasible
- Is assembly feasible
- Are child part suppliers specified
- Is packaging reusable and suitable to maintain component quality
- Is there sufficient time to complete the project
- Is there any known environmental aspects that may cause impacts
- Have the Health & Safety aspects been reviewed for this process, and does it comply to legislation
